Our objetive

Contribuir a salvar vidas, aliviar el sufrimiento y reducir el impacto social y económico en las familias vulnerables migrantes en tránsito por Honduras.


What do we do

Brindamos respuesta humanitaria ante la emergencia migratoria en Honduras que abarca los sectores de: Protección a la Niñez, Educación, Agua, Higiene y Saneamiento, Nutrición y Salud. Todas las atenciones a las familias migrantes es gratuita y son enfocadas a las familias más vulnerables con foco especial a la infancia.

PROTECTION
TO CHILDHOOD

We have started the rapid response for the most vulnerable families who arrive at the Temporary Rest Centers, mainly women who travel alone with their sons and daughters.



HEALTH

Brindamos atención primaria en las afueras de la oficina del Instituto Nacional de Migración INM en Danlí y Trojes. También estamos presentes en nuestros centros de descanso temporal CDT.



NUTRITION

We evaluate children under 5 years of age, deriving the cases of Moderate and Severe Acute Malnutrition. We give differentiated nutritional supplements to boys and girls at risk or with some degree of malnutrition. We evaluate and deliver protein-based nutritional supplements for pregnant women.

WATER

Safe water for migrants in transit, for drinking, cooking and personal hygiene through water tanks or individual bottles. This service has materialized with hydration points in Trojes, El Paraíso and Danlí, Depto. of El Paraíso, Choluteca, El Triunfo, Dept. of Choluteca and Tatumbla, Dept. by Francisco Morazán.

EDUCATION

Educational days through mobile educational spaces installed in the vicinity of the Danlí and Trojes delegations from Monday to Friday and role shift at the Temporary Rest Center for Migrant Families, Trojes from Monday to Sunday. There are toolboxes with basic materials for the development of the sessions.

SANITATION AND HYGIENE (WASH)

We have installed portable latrines to improve sanitation conditions and we have delivered hygiene kits to the most vulnerable population. We provide water to the Temporary Rest Centers of Choluteca, Danlí and Trojes.
